- We are currently in the test phase of exploring the autonomous driving technology of our MOIAs (VW ID. Buzz AD)
- One or two safety drivers are always on board during this phase to monitor the technology and provide important feedback so that we can improve the self-driving experience
- The job of safety drivers is very complex and involves high qualifications
- We therefore have high quality requirements for our employees
- Before they hit the road, we check the qualifications of applicants through interviews and assessment centers
- In addition to successfully mastering driving simulations, they must also pass a specific driving license test and complete driving safety training
- If the application phase has been successfully completed, the training takes place
- Our safety drivers learn everything they need for their deployment in autonomous MOIAs in theoretical and practical phases with subsequent final exams
- After the training, there are regular checks to ensure maximum safety
- We ask you to keep communication with our safety drivers on board to a minimum
- We want our drivers to be able to concentrate on their demanding task as best as possible and want to simulate the experience of autonomous driving as realistically as possible
- If you have any general questions, please contact our customer service via the contact form
- If urgent assistance is required in the vehicle, you can contact our fleet control center using the corresponding buttons in the vehicle
