- From 2023, not only will we continue to be there for you in Hamburg, our new concession will also include some new features and developments
Service area and service hours:
- Our service hours remain unchanged according to current plans
- However, our service area is expanding with 70 square kilometers around Wilhelmsburg with a "leap across the Elbe" and will extend out to Billstedt, Billbrook, Jenfeld, Osdorf, Lurup and Rahlstedt
- By expanding our service area by a third, we will be able to complement bus and rail services in those neighbourhoods that are less well served by public transport, convincing even more customers to leave their cars behind and switch to convenient, climate-friendly alternatives
-
With the help of the Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport,* selected funding areas are discounted for you by 1€
-
The funding areas are
-
Osdorf / Lurup
-
Billbrook / Billstedt / Jenfeld

Accessibility:
- Accessible vehicles are seamlessly integrated into our service to transport even more people with mobility impairments
- MOIA's accessible vehicles are battery-electric and based on the E-Crafter from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles*
Prices and conditions:
- As an on-demand public transport service, we integrate ourselves into the public transport system and offer a discount of €1 for hvv season ticket holders
- In future, holders of special identity cards for the severely disabled, who are allowed free transport on public transport, will also be able to benefit from our services*
- We are preparing everything so that these important changes will work as smoothly as possible for the start of next year. You can find out all the details via the newsletter and the help section. Our customer service is also there to help you with advice and support
Bus stops and bus lanes
-
As an on-demand public transport operator, we are entitled to use the public transport infrastructure, such as bus stop and bus lanes*
-
In cooperation with HOCHBAHN, our MOIAs drive to 29 HOCHBAHN bus stops as part of a pilot project. More Information can be found here
- We want to create stops at central traffic hubs and to further link the on-demand service and conventional public transport in such a way that you get a real added value
- Additionally we are allowed to use bus lanes that are also open to cabs. This allows us to avoid traffic jams and get you to your destination faster and more comfortable. Important bus lanes are for example on the Elbbrücken, Amsinckstraße, Eppendorfer Landstraße and Edmund-Siemers-Allee
* Expanding our service and dovetailing our tariffs is made possible in part by the funding guidelines "Model Projects to Strengthen Public Transport" set out by the Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport, for which MOIA was selected together with the Free and Hanseatic City Authority for Transport and Mobility Change.
